Prague, or Praha, is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic, with a population of approximately 1.3 million. Founded in the 9th century, its well preserved historical centre has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1992; the medieval, Baroque and Gothic architecture earned Prague the nickname ‘the City of a Hundred Spires’. It’s a popular tourist destination, and often the first former communist country that many people from Western Europe or North America will visit.

My Blog posts relating to Prague

Prague is certainly not an expensive city, although if you spending your time eating and drinking in the tourist areas, and getting hooked into the various traps, you’ll find similar prices to the UK and other Western European countries. The following blog posts cover a variety of topics that will help you get the most out of your visit to Prague.
